I have been very busy with moving Dan's folks again, babysitting, and a host of various other commitments that I have not had one day home alone since before Christmas LOL! I have been in a bit of a twirl, as my good friend says.
I am stopping this morning to take a moment to remember a lovely summer morning when I visited a friend's very special garden. She had the amazing idea of planting a whole bag of sunflower bird seeds in her yard. Join me if you'd like and take a peek at her sunflowers drenched in sunshine.
I can remember the delight in my heart that morning as the heat of the day was just starting to build up. I was looking all around at these amazing sunflowers basking in the light of glory when I knew I just had to go home and paint them =)
Sending some sunshine your way!

Even though it's sunny here and unseasonably warm, I'll take your sunshine from across the miles! My you have been so busy. I know how we need that home time, and some time alone at home ... we can stretched many ways at this season of life, can't we?
Since I am now reading Sharon Lovejoy's Sunflower Houses, planting an entire bag of sunflower bird seed sounds like a plan. It certainly does look joyous!
Hope that you can stop twirling for a bit...long enough to keep your energy up. Take care of yourself.
That's a very sunny post...the sunflowers are so beautiful too.
One of my most favorite flowers! these are so beautiful. The print is so lovely.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for the sunshine on this day of light, Candlemas! :-) Love the cheer. And that you captured the joy in two artistic ways. Isn't the yellow great to see this time of year? I'm wearing, right now, a medium yellow sweater that I bought on a sale rack last week simply to wear to cheer everyone up. I told my mother that I wanted to be a ray of sunshine (or a pat of butter, I couldn't decide which :-).
Thanks for sending the sunshine my way. I've been mostly twirling over here as well!
This comes from another twirler:)that really appreciates the sunshine you sent my way. What a beautiful sunflower display. One can't help but smile when one visits it.
Woohoo for sunshine! As you now, we have a bit of it on "this side" right now too. No sign of sunflowers, though. Love yours!
Your painting is beautiful, so subtle and peaceful. Like your friend's fun garden.
Hope you get some time to yourself now. We need it occasionally.
I love how a cheery sunshine and flowers can brighten up a day.....love your painting!
What a great idea! It is so pretty. And I love your painting-it is so cheerful too.
