My Goodness...Slacker on Blogger

 My latest painting... oil botanical

I can't believe I have just dropped of the face of blog land.  I need to check on all my friends and see what is going on.  Life has just been very demanding since Thanksgiving.  We have moved Dan's folks twice and their needs are very intense right now.  Fortunately they now live just a five minute drive away, which makes those 2-3 x a day drop by's much easier.  Nellie is back from a month of re-hab.  Unfortunately she seems right back to where we started before rehab in less than two weeks.  The new place is pretty much full nursing care when needed.  This is a hard season on everyone concerned, as many of you know having gone through this or in the process of.

Jenna has been back living at home for three weeks and has landed a part time job as of last week.  She is also helping her sister with her business as her studio manager.  For her help, Meg is training her in the photography business.  It is a sweet thing to see sisters working together :)

I have been busy juggling everyone's schedules, with babysitting, grand parents and a daughter back home :)

I am finding a little bit of time to paint in between it all.  I unexpectedly found a watercolor teacher, who has so much to teach me.  She is great because I have no idea how to really handle the medium.  I ask all the stupid questions in class :)  Great fun though!  I will show and tell when I have something completed.

Well I am hoping to catch up this week on everyone's blog!  I think when Jenna gets on a set schedule, I will have a little more order to my days. Hopefully that will happen this week ;)

Here are a few quick pictures I snapped at Art Walk last week

Your oil botanical is beautiful! I hope you will find some moments of rest to paint. It is hard to be the in-between generation sometimes. Blessings ~ Tanna

So good to find you here. You may be slacking in Blogdom, but you are busier than a one-armed paper hanger in real life. If you are dropping in several times a day to help with your beloved's parents then I know you are beyond busy. I'm sorry that the rehab only holds for two weeks. Keeping Dan's mother in my prayers right along with you and the rest of your family. Take care of yourself...keep painting!(Speaking of which, it seems you have another talented little artist in the family!)

The oil botanical is lovely...and you have been busy with life! We never know what's around the corner, do we. Glad the parents are closer, that makes it a bit easier for you.

I second what Vee and Podso write. Please do take care of yourself in the midst of all of your busyness. And the painting is wonderful, as are the others you've snapped.

So pretty. :)

Isn't that the way it is with this stage of life? Helping and caring for everyone's needs. But what a rich life it is! Someone once said, "Happiness is having someone to care for." Joy comes in serving Jesus by serving others. So your leaving blogland behind is for a higher purpose! It is good to connect with you again!

Whew...so glad all is well over there! I was wondering what had become of you. It doesn't sound like you will be bored anytime soon.

I've dropped out of blogland too for the most part these days. In January we moved my Dad from Arizona to live with us here. The first few weeks he did great, but spent a couple of days in the hospital last week and he's still recuperating from this almost pneumonia. Doctor visits, new meds, and now track season has begun for the twins and Kirsten! Don't know how I'm even going to get the basics done, but know God will enable. :)

You have been busy with a lot of family responsibility so I am not surprised that blogging went by the wayside. Don't know about you Cindy but I miss it when other things keep me away from it.
