Surgery for the Puddin Toe

My darling granddaughter was born with a birth mark that needed removal because it could have possibly turned cancerous. After my daughter consulted with a specialist she suggested sooner rather than later. Last Tuesday up we all went to Spokane with mom, dad, 2 grandmas' and an Auntie. It was not a dangerous thing, we just were all a little worried putting such a little one under. She is home now and doing well. Papa took off the helmet head bandages today. And on Tues P.T. will have the dressing removed. We are all believing for the scar to heal well.

Here are some pictures of the day...

Jammie's were just a tad too big =/ we just giggled at her as she started to get sleepy from the sedation they gave her...
... and here is our precious girl...we started calling her telatubby =/ It looks so much worse than it was. They just needed to keep her from getting at her bandage. And she has been a really good girl and has left it alone...didn't even phase her today as she played at my house while momma got some rest.
If you look at her forehead top center left you can see the orangy discoloration of her birth mark. We were thankful this was not in a very obvious place. I am sure the scar will heal well. The important thing was to remove it so it would not become a source of cancer. It is apparently one of those things that is estrogen fed and could be come a problem in adolescents.

While I was up in Spokane a little early waiting for the others to arrive. I had a chance to visit a park close by . It was a lovely evening as I strolled around. Here are some shots of what I saw. They had these gorgeous dahlias in a test garden. I was intrigued by their structure. So I took some liberties here and had some fun with my photo program.

Which ones are real?

It's always so traumatic to have a little one undergo surgery. I am so glad that all is well AND that you included the photo of Puddin' Toes wearing a grin as well as the helmet. Keeping her in prayer and her mommy and daddy and her grammies and grampies and everybody, too.

Glad she's doing well. She is very pretty even with the helmet head bandage. Pappy

Lucky told me that she had it done in one surgery instead of 3. PTL! Now, as to the "John Deere" crack on Pappy's blog......check out my post for this Monday......we're talking a real, steel John Deere!

aw, i'm glad the surgery went well! that's always so sad when they have to do surgery on little kids, you know they won't really hurt them but it just breaks my heart! pretty garden, i want to go! haha, i'm gonna make a wild guess that the real color is the yellow...

Best wishes for P.T's speedy recovery. She looks so adorable in that helmet hat....so cute!

The flowers are gorgeous...hard to tell which are real, but I would say the ones where the leaves are not green, are not real? Interesting colour effect...very artistic.

That garden you visited is quite lovely.

Glad PT did just fine...

Your garden tour was like a trip back to the 60's with those brightly colored flowers! Where's the VW bus with the peace sign painted on the side? I'm teasing of course...I can see you had fun with your photo program.

Puddin Toes is so sweet. I'm glad she is doing well. We will continue to pray for her. Avery had to have an MRI a couple of years ago and we were all nervous about it too. Praise the Lord for our sweet granddaughters. The flowers were beautiful. I love how you change the colors. Very neat.

Ohhhh, poor little girl. It must have been heartbreaking as they took her away into surgery. But PTL, she looks totally back to her happy self in the later pictures. And mentioning pictures, I've got to say that I never saw such a strong resemblance to her Papa before. He must be tickled.

Prevention is always better than cure, glad the worry of the threat of developments is over for all of you. She's such a cutie pie and could be an entrant for snow bunny of the year in her head gear.

I vote for the green one, whoever would guess it was genetically photoshopped..LoL...oops, still chuckling.

Which ones are real? Next to last.

Sorry litle puddin toes had to go through this but so glad it is all over and she is back home and well. Amazing that she did not try to take the headgear off.
