Ahhh the roses are coming...

(Barnsley House in the Cotswolds, England)

They are in perfect juicy bud stage. A few have actually unfurled there beauty. Pictures will be coming. But for now enjoy the rest of the tour of Barnsley. Rosemary Verey's lovely garden. I checked it out on the internet, and now they are renting out rooms to stay in at this lovely home.
Can you imagine having a view of these gardens from your room?

There is my honey :) He was such a trooper looking at all the gardens I drug him around too. We did castles for him.
When I took this picture I had no idea it was famous. It looks like I just missed the bloom. It was a stunning alle.

The whole trip was a dream. And this garden was a perfect part of the dream.

Lush green and simply beautiful...Your hubby looks as if he found a cool, shady spot.

(I'm here looking for your mosiac, but Blogger is being fruity this morning. In fact, your entire post disappeared while I was here and it took a bit of refreshing to get it back. None of the other blogs have loaded for the day either and mine was posted two hours ago. So perhaps it's Blogger's fault that I don't see a mosaic in your sidebar.)

You did a great job with your photos. It is a disappointing thing, I think, to see something of beauty and not have your camera with you. You are probably like I am. I go nowhere without it. Thanks for sharing.

It was so good of Dan to indulge your garden tramping. Bet some of those castles you visited also had gardens. :D

Ten years ago when my sis and I were over there, we visited Dunvegan Castle which had lovely wooded gardens. It was July 6 and the rhodies were gorgeous!

Oh I would truly love to have this view! I also really like how those fine old English houses have all those chimneys...makes a handsome profile.

These gardens are amazing, truly an Eden...

You are in England? Since when? How did I not know about any of this?

That would probably be the most enchanting place to stay...I will have to go there someday :) England is second on my list of places I still need to go. After Ireland, of course!

Jourdan, we were there on our 25th anniversary 8 years ago. We are making another trip to Europe maybe next spring.

Wow!! What a beautiful, historic place. You are so fortunate to visit this countryside and gardens. Thank you for taking so many photos to share with us. I have looked at each of them three times. They must have quite a few grounds keepers. A dream it was.
