Meeting Avey

We met a sweet, sweet little petunia yesterday on May 1st. So of coarse Nana had to pick a May Day basket for her! Baby Avey arrived into the world at 7:09 pm last night with a whole lot of sweetness and a big bunch of love waiting for her. Avey weighted in at 6 lb.12 oz. 19 1/2 inches long.

She is spending a few days in the nicu. She had a little fluid on her lungs. Altogether though she seems quite healthy. We are all marveling at what appears to us some very nice dark hair!!! It may yet change and fall out. But I am so excited to see a baby with some Nana genes. All three of my kids were born with blue eyes and blond hair :)

Oh my goodness! She is absolutely gorgeous...and how exciting for you and your family that she has arrived safely and healthy. Congratulations to you all... and of course I love the darker hair as well...it is rather interesting to have a grandchild that has your own visible genetics...:-)

Awww...welcome to the world and our family "little miss petunia"! She's amazing in these photo's sis. I can't see the dark hair under the little hat though. Wouldn't that be a first...dark hair...a little Italiano going on here! :)

Glad she's getting good care and I'm sure they will have that little fluid issue under control. Praying for a speedy recovery so she can go home soon.

Hugs...Sis

I can't tell if my comment made it or not, so I must say again that she is beautiful and I love her name. It's close to my baby girl, Avery. I'm so happy for you guys.

She's looking good. Tab's ran into your hubby at Alberson's on Saturday...he was renting a movie and buying some adult beverages!!! He told Tab's that he had already been to the hospital. Lucky keeps me posted on all the puddin toes II info. Blessings to all your family. Strider
