Welcome to the Ultimate Blog Party!

Meet my family: Starting on the left my middle child Megan, my youngest Jenna, my first born Josh, handsome husband Dan the man, me, and son-law Tyler in front, married to the very pregnant Megan on left. She was two weeks from delivering my first grandchild.
First of all welcome to my blog In a Garden. I just finished celebrating my One Year Blogging Anniversary. It has been a fascinating experience that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I would love for you to take a look around. I have found that I am not prone to one topic blogging. I am a bit eclectic, which seems to be a bit like how I live my life. Today I would love to give you a specially selected tour, and if you are interested in one particular topic, just come back later and browse through my labels.
Before we take the tour, I would like to invite you to have a cup of tea with me as we start. Following is a blog I did on all my favorite teapots and teacups. National Tea Month Something else you will notice right away about me is that I am a new grandmother. "Puddin Toes" as she is known around here, is my favorite little lady. Nobody could have ever told me how very wonderful it is to be a grandmother. It is indescribable. Check out the Christmas pic's if you want to see more of the gang, including my sister at Knitting Mania.
So I am very much into gardening as my blog title implies. Oh what to show you all? How about some of the new roses I am growing in my new garden. And some pic's of my old garden. How about a quick peek at my winter garden? All this garden touring, I think it is time for some nourishment. This actually is the only recipe I have posted. But if you like chocolate, trust me, this is amazing. Do have a bite.
So on with the tour. This is just a general look around the villa. I wish :] Our house is now two years old. We needed to down size, and I couldn't quite make up my mind, Tuscany or Provence. So I am sure I have (here I go again) some eclectic mixture.
Now if you want a little peek into my heart here is a blog I did on Mother's Day as a tribute to my mother. I have a lot of family stuff posted; it has been a very busy year! Here is just one of our many events, my daughter's prom. Who doesn't like to look at prom dresses ;] How about part II of our family vacation this year. Here is a look at the Oregon Coast for those of you that are not from around the Pacific Northwest. I have also shared quite a few of my thoughts on what I term Kingdom Stuff. So go take a peek there if you would like to read a paragraph or two on what the Message refers to as "Unforced Rhythms of Grace."
Well I don't want to keep you too long. I know you have many more blogs to visit. Thanks for stopping by, and spending some time here. I do hope you enjoyed your visit. Come back any time and look around more closely at your favorite topics. I must say, I have some very amazing garden tours to take a look at during your leisure for those of you that have that garden bug like I do. You won't be disappointed.

See ya around, I plan on doing a lot of visiting myself, and hopefully meeting some new friends!

Thanks for stopping by. It looks like you have a lot of interesting posts that I'll have to come back and poke around in later. I do think eclectic is a perfect word for me.

WOW what a garden. I have a garden blog (though it's not in the party - too many weeds right now!), but it sure aint as pretty as yours. Ours is a totally functional-feed-our-family patch and anything that is not food is low maintenance!

Beautiful to see your joy as a Grandmother. Truly exquisite.

Beautiful family! (Why are you and your hubby both holding on to your son-in-law with a vise-like grip? LOL!)

Beautiful tour! I will be back to skip and hop through your first year of blogging, too. You've definitely piqued my interest.

Have a happy weekend!

Vee: funny thing about that picture. We were at a wedding. And for one second we were all at the same spot at the same time. I just yelled everyone hold still for just one second. Threw my camera at a gal we were all visiting with, and said quick take a picture. At that moment we all yelled for Tyler to get in the picture. He was on his way in as the picture snapped. So Dan and I instinctively were trying to steady the boy! It was a fun moment and it turned out to be a great picture. So that is why we seemed to have a vise grip on the son-in law….hehehe !

Would I mind? Absolutely NOT! In fact, if your friend would stop by my blog or better yet email me....I'd love to connect with her! In the side bar of my blog--I have a section called Collateral Damage and Dear Son. Dear Son holds the letters that I wrote to my son when he was in treatment. Collateral Damage speaks to the many areas that loving a prodigal damages a family.

I am so glad you stopped by...and I pray that your friend will draw some comfort knowing--she is not alone is this battle.
