A brief check in...with my blogging buddies!

Things are going well in the garden...still a lot of planting to do. I am enjoying focusing on my plants with all my kiddo's gone this week. Even Puddin Toes is away on a visit with mom in Seattle.
Newly planted dogwood
Climbing roses in bud, can't wait till they are in bloom!

Now Barbara, unknowingly challenged me over at Ramblings from and English Garden. I was admiring her wild woodsy English flowers, the bluebells, and the cowslips...then I remembered I have some wild flowers blooming right behind my house, some gorgeous light pink phlox. I do love these blossoms growing wild in the desert. They are delicate in their beauty, yet longer blooming then my domesticated phlox, whose colors seem much too harsh after these wild ladies. looking down from my backyard
looking up the hill to the back of my house and garden shed. It all looks so raw and naked from here...
but in the yard we do have some life going on
a new plant for Mother's Day from my daughter, love the rich dark color of this Asiatic lily
Sorry if I am boring you all with my garden, but this time of the year, I am always
"In a Garden"
It is just bliss for me....
Have a great week everyone!

Your not boring me at all..I could look at gardens all day long...and I especially enjoy yours... :) I miss so many of the plants you have...One day we are moving back to S Carolina...again I can have Dogwoods and lovely spring bulbs..things just grow better there...in the tropics we have sand and are limited to tropicals..

You are most welcomed to use the Cinderella photo...I used a Solarize setting on my old Sony camera ....

You're not boring me. I love to see people's gardens. It does make me a little green around the gills...now if that green would just slip down to my thumb!

Oh I loved the tour! I have been out in my yard too. I love working in the gardens and I love to sit back and look at the results! My yard is full of shade so I have a lot of shade loving perennials. I'll take a picture sometime and post. Thanks again! Makes me want to get back out there and work some more! Lovely!!

I'm sure it will look gorgeous when it's all in bloom. You do have the touch.

I love the 2nd shot of Puddin Toes - it's like she's saying: Excuse me, are you talking to me?

Boring? Are you kidding me? Your blog is always lovely, always like a refreshing stroll through a land of loveliness....Your view is something else, how wonderful to have all that open space around you. You would feel claustrophobic in my small city backyard with neighbors right there on either side of you so close you can hear the water running in their kitchen sink...

Barbara: Massive back garden...I love how you put things!

Ladyslipper: I actually can see and hear my neighbors. We wanted a smaller yard and house to take care of so we downsized, but the wetlands/desert behind our little piece of land really helps. But we are putting in a block fence to help with the privacy/sound a bit.

Glad you all are not bored ;>)

Sis: I tried to reduce the pixels a bit more, let me know if it is too big to pull up? I will have to explain over the phone how...very easy.

DeeDee: Thank you so much for allowing me to use the picture!
I do get a little green with envy over your tropicals...they are all such the rage now.

Vee: I have seen your parts of your garden; looks like you have some green in your thumbs to me!

Hi, Cindy --

Love your blog. And what a cute little granddaughter -- you must have a blast with her. I have had a lot of fun with Karen and Matt this week. Karen showed me how to register and showed me your blog.
