Something New

Here is a link to a new blog I am starting on behalf of my art students, At The Drawing Pad . I teach drawing 101 to about 60 plus students at a local homeschooling organization called Echo. They meet once a week to give their children some extra curricula activities. I finished my last class of the year last Friday just as I was taking off for Seattle. It has been quite a whirlwind of a week. Keeping busy was a good thing. It kept me from focusing to much on Jenna Dear leaving home. Here is a peek at her room we set up on Saturday.
I was pretty disappointed in my shopping day. Things didn't work out as planned. Surprise, surprise the sun wasn't out on Monday, and the shops were closed in downtown Kirkland in the morning. So no fun goodies to show and tell. Here are a few shots in the rain of the water front and a cute sweet shop....love the aprons, and the shop where I found my candle.
It was so much more charming with the sunshine. Jenna texted yesterday and said we forgot to buy her an umbrella. lol

Jenna's room looks very cozy! (You should have put a few peas under her mattress.)

I'm off to check out your new blog...

I'm going to go look at your new blog, because I love art and for the first 23 or so years of my life was constantly drawing this and that...mostly things like princesses and mermaids and ladies in long flowing gowns, or trees and fields and sunshine. Perhaps someday I will rediscover that part of me. In the meantime I'll enjoy what your students are creating!

Sorry about the lack of sunshine but it will come again and just another reason to drive over the mountains to visit Kirkland!

Jenna's room looks quite comfy and nice too. We drove to the Oregon Coast this week and stayed for 5 days and are now back home. We missed the snow, but had torrential rain. Spokane had 2 - 4 inches of snow while we were away, but will be in the 50's today and 60's this week! We drove through the Tri-Cities and I waved to you somewhere as we crossed the big blue bridge! Happy Spring!

Good pics, it's nice to get a visual of where Jenna is now.

You've been busy, time to catch your breath and rest up a bit before Puddin Toes number two comes along shortly....
