Still waiting

As I have been observing my last blog title, it has been speaking to me on another level of my life I am also in a waiting mode. Waiting on the Lord. In the past that thought or season in life has sometimes frustrated me. I have always had the tendency to either look back and remember the good old days or look to forward, eager to get to the next place. I have often struggled to find contentment in the moment. Paul has a bit of wisdom on this that he has seemed to have really grabbed a hold of Php 4:11 “Actually, I don't have a sense of needing anything personally. I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances.”
It seems to me at the beginning of this new season, there is a sense of anticipation of what the Lord is up to this year. Certainly there are areas in my life I am asking God, what is the plan Lord? Interestingly enough, to me anyway, I find myself being content to be in the process…of just waiting on Him. Contentment in the process is fairly a unique experience for me. Maybe this is wisdom finally settling down into me by the mere fact that I have started to reach a certain age in life. I don’t know for sure but it feels more like a God thing, His shaping, His molding, His hand of mercy. I am content to simply pray and put the ball back in His court. Thanks God, it’s your serve.

Php 4:6-7 Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.
Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

Finding contentment in the midst of the wait is not always easy, but worth it in the end. The end will come alot quicker if we are content.

Thanks for this post...I'm trying to find contentment in my season too....it's difficult...but possible. Relax in the Lords presence and stay in peace when the storm of circumstances rage around us!!!

I find comfort in the fact that He already holds tomorrow in His hands.

To see and rely on the One who created us and realize He is surrounding us with an always changing purpose hang in there!

This sounds really good. Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
