First "In a Garden" day with Puddin Toes

I simply have no words to describe how fun a moment this was for me! I had bought P.T. some little girl gardening equipment for Easter. Early Monday morning Nana had a babysitting job. The weather was perfect, the garden was crying out for my attention. I couldn't stand it. I had to give P. T. her Easter gift early. I remember being this age in a garden with my own grandmother. Time spent with her in her garden made an indelible imprint on my life. To share this day of sunshine and dirt with my girl was a kiss from heaven.

We had important jobs to do...weeding 101

Check out the gloves =]

This was one great little worker. She seemed to love it as much as Nana! I can't wait for our next gardening date!
The kiss of the sun for pardon
The song of the birds for mirth
One is nearer to God's heart in the garden
Than anywhere else on earth

That's right! Start'em young!! She's so cute and she certainly looks content. Easter is every day for the believer so she didn't really get her gift early at all. (I bet Grandma is already thinking of something else for Sunday. Ha!)

Oh...how sweet is that? Enjoy your little garden helper...before you know it, she'll be off to school.

And I concur with Dorothy Gurney!

Awww I really enjoyed seeing our PT in the garden. What a little gardener Sis, wow, she was working so hard digging up those weeds. Loved the garden set, that large PINK bucket was hysterical and those gloves. :)

You two, "two peas in a pod!"

Such a fun and special day you had. She is darling and looks she loved it. I always choose to putter in my garden for Mother's Day and my daughter had been helping me plant some flowers on that day since she was 1 1/2. She is 13 now. I cherish it.

I have always admired your gardens and love for gardening. The little gloves put me over the top!! Absolutely love your blogs! I am sure jealous of the sunshine. We are having a historically bad weather spring, snow today :( I am sure it is warm and sunny somewhere!
blessings,
Cecille
