Springtime Delights

I have got to say it is finally starting to look like a garden around here. When I saw this bleeding heart in full bloom I kinda went nuts photographing it. You don't know how many years I have tried to get bleeding hearts to hang out and multiply in my garden. They always petered out after one year or so. But in this garden I have finally hit the right combo apparently, east facing against a wall. You know it pays not to give up. I am sensing a little analogy here Lord. I seem to have so much patience with my garden. I keep trying different combo's till I find a solution, till something works. I think I need to take this lesson into other areas of my life. Just keep trying to find the right way, the right combo, the right direction the right fit. Just don't give up especially on the things He has placed in your heart. Then one day I will say it was worth it, just like my lovely bleeding hearts! Bingo! I think I will name this bed "My Encouragement Garden" This was the first year I planted this bed, and now you can see the results three springs later!
Okay I am getting all sorts of analogies here. How fitting are my blue forget me knots with my bleeding hearts, and white candy tuff :)

This is so feeling like a real garden...hehehe. Below is my Lavender Twist tree only in its second spring.

Flowering apple tree
Redbud...oh it has been so long since I have been able to
look straight up into the sky from a Redbud tree in full bloom.

We have several neighborhood pheasants that like to take a gander in my garden when they think I am not around....they are very shy guys.
My Garden of Encouragement

Thank you Father for speaking to me In a Garden.
I hope if any of you blogland friends have some areas in your life that are discouraging you. Let Him bring you encouragement in the simple things to help you hang on for the big ones.

Love your bleeding hearts and the rest of your beautiful flowers. My bleeding hearts were hit with a freeze in the early part of spring and have not bloomed this year. Thanks for sharing yours!

An encouragement bed...I like that. Your blooms are ahead of ours...by the looks of it. Beautiful!

My 'bleeding heart bed' is my heritage bed...plants that came originally from my grandma & mom, who have long passed.

And thanks for the fitting prayer this morning.

Wonderful garden blooming like crazy! Why is it that all that comes to mind is Christ's cursing of the fig tree? You are so busily working to get certain plants such as your bleeding heart to do well. Don't mind me, I'm still going a bit daft reading Yancey's book. ;>

Hope that that gorgeous pheasant leaves you one of his feathers. What pretty colors!

The Bleeding Hearts are fabulous and I didn't realize that they were in bloom already this year. Obviously I need to get "out" more myself. I love your analogy around applying patience to areas of our lives...I need to think on that a bit more. Thank you for sharing! (On This Rock)

Your garden looks amazing! Bleading hearts are one of my favorites. They remind me of my Grandma. She had a giant bush of Bleading Hearts. When we were little we called them "Lady in a Bath tub." Enjoy your weekend.

It's all so beautiful and you are really making a difference there. Your hard work is paying off and teaching you lessons as well.
I have never heard of a Lavender Twist tree but it certainly looks interesting.

Janie asked me to tell you that she has been trying to leave yu a comment but without success.
