Posy Walk II

Come take a stroll with me around the yard. I do the posy walk several times a day right now while every moment something new is blooming.  My roses have finally given me the privacy I was hoping for in the front court yard.
inside the front court yard

Martha and blue skies... blooming on the back porch
Here she is...Lady Emma Hamilton.  Remember all that deciding this spring on which new roses to purchase? This is my first new rose blossom. Wow I am wondering if I am going to love this color or hate it.

first year this peony has bloomed..I am in love

The roses are huge this year. Mild weather and sunshine.

Iceburg is always a moment of refreshment

These things I prize
And hold of dearest worth:
Light of the sapphire skies,
Peace of the silent hills,
Shelter of the forest, comfort of the grass,
Music of birds, murmur of little rills,
Shadows of clouds that swiftly pass,
And, after showers,
 The smell of flowers
And of the good brown earth-
And best of all, along the way, friendship and mirth

This post is dedicated to my dearest friend Alida

Beautiful walk in your gardens! Our peonies finally bloomed this year, but it didn't last too long and now they are all gone. Since I didn't know much about them, I assumed they might bloom all summer long. Do they just make a big show and then go away?

Wow...that's a lot of posies blooming out your way already. Beautiful!

The jury is still out...as to which roses I am adding to my landscape this year.

Lady Emma looks beautiful next to the blue geranium! Surely you're going to love her. :)

Podso: unfortunately peonies only bloom once :(

Von: I like her with the blue too! So far so good. I just wonder how bold she will be when she is climbing up my trellis...

What a gorgeous place to take a walk. Do you pick some of these roses and bring them indoors? You have a green thumb for sure! I love seeing what is blooming.

Judy: Oh the picking will begin:)

I just caught a gentle breeze and the aroma of your roses reminded me of the times we use to take the posy walks together.

Lovely....

Just about to read Posy Walk III when I realized that I had missed something. Oh my goodness! It is no wonder that you are taking the garden tour many times a day just now. The roses are magnificent. I really like the color of Lady Emma. She's lovely. I like the purple and coral combination in that photo. And such a privacy screen the roses are giving...wonderful!

Oh your garden is a piece of heaven! I need to get over the mountains and see and smell!! My climber "Cecil Brunner" is in full bloom and the scent is amazing. Sadly it only blooms once. You helped me pick that one out. It was completely grown over our entry and we pruned it back so much I thought it was a goner but no she is more beautiful than ever.
blessings,
Cecille

The only thing better than heading out to my garden several times a day to see what new bloom is blossoming is visiting other people's lovely gardens via blogdom! Thanks for letting me tag along!
