What's blooming this week?

I think this exercise in weekly photographing what is newly blooming in my garden through out the summer has become a worthy project. I am quite pleased. I am finding out first of all how many new plants do keep blooming through out the season. Second, this will prove to be a very helpful visual record of my garden for future planning. Now I know my photos aren't the greatest. I tend to take them to late in the evening and lose some good lighting. But for me it is the visual record that will be most helpful, some cold January eve when I am perusing catalogs for what to order for the up coming season.

The sunflowers are ruling for the moment in the borders!

Yes, this documenting of events is a great thing. I imagine that it would be especially helpful for a gardener.

Excellent variety of colour, and that vivid yellow in the last shot...oh my!

It must be so nice to look at these in January as you dream up new plans for your garden...
